Shophouse PSI ยท Heritage & Standard ยท Singapore
Conservation and standard shophouse PSI in Singapore. Masonry assessment, timber floor joists, party walls, URA heritage compliance. From S$1,800 per unit.
For Shophouse Owners
Singapore's shophouses โ particularly conservation shophouses in Chinatown, Tanjong Pagar, Little India, and Kampong Glam โ have unique structural systems that require experienced PE assessment. Most date from the 1900sโ1950s and use unreinforced masonry walls and timber floor joists rather than modern RC frames.
Shophouses are non-residential buildings and require PSI every 5 years from the 13th year. The PSI notice goes to the registered property owner. For URA conservation shophouses, intrusive Stage 2 testing requires URA pre-approval โ our reports clearly flag this constraint.
Any intrusive testing on URA-gazetted conservation shophouses requires URA approval. We understand conservation requirements and prepare reports that flag this correctly.
